Redback A1982B megaphone operates in the same way as a standard loudhailer, and is also fitted with an alert/evac tone generator which allows the broadcast of alert and evacuation tones. The operation mode (alert/evac/megaphone) is selected via a toggle switch and is activated by pressing the trigger. The tone remains activated until the trigger is released. The powerful 25W amplifier and efficient voice coil unit give the Redback A1982B megaphone a range of up to 100m in good conditions.
